This 1922 antique Illinois ladies transitional-period wristwatch is in beautiful condition and still keeping accurate time!
The USA-made movement by Illinois Watch Company is grade 903, size 6/0, model 2, open face, with a pendant setting and 15 jewels. It is not railroad grade. The movement serial number is 4143485.
The beautiful 14 karat gold filled case measures 27.2 mm in diameter and the crown is located at 12 o'clock. As a transitional watch, it is a pocket watch converted into a wristwatch. Because of this, it does not have standard lugs. The dial is champagne with a heavy patina which complements its age beautifully, and has Breguet numerals. The hour hand is diamond-shaped, the minute hand is Breguet-shaped, and the second-hand is stick-shaped with an arrow end opposite the stick end. All hands are blued-steel. The case serial number is 630257.
This watch comes on an attractive one-piece black ribbon strap with pretty gold hooks and a gold adjustment snap/slider.
At 101 years old, this antique Illinois ladies transitional-period wristwatch still runs great!
