This antique 1904 Waltham pocket watch is a beautiful timepiece with gorgeous floral and scrollwork embossing around the sides of the watch case and linear and crest engraving on the caseback. The dial is a lightly patinaed ivory with bold, black Arabic numerals and stick and diamond minute marks. The dial is marked Waltham and features a sub second hand. All hands are blue steeled. The hour and minute hands are a delicate-looking slender spade style, and the sub second hand is a slender Breguet style.
The case back, bezel and crown are of base metal, and the case back and crown show light brassing. The caseback and plastic crystal are both screw-on, and the crystal is in great condition!
The openface movement is a manual wind, grade 610, model 1899, size 16s, with 7 jewels.
The movement is signed A.W.W.Co., Waltham, Mass., 13688200. The inside of the caseback is signed Illinois Watch Case Co., Spartan, and 0219468. It is in excellent working condition- amazing for a 119 year-old timepiece!
This 1904 Waltham pocket watch will make a nice addition to any timepiece collection!
